The Terrain at North East Quad Biking
There are several areas within our off road course. The first area is relatively level and contained within tyre walls to allow riders to familiarise themselves with the bikes and for the instructors to access their capabilities before moving to more demanding terrain. Our intermediate area features steeper hills, with the ground becoming more uneven as the bikes overcome the challenges of rocks and large stones. Also in this area are sections where speed can be increased and brakes are used more and more. Mud is introduced here as the bikes plough their way through water and deepruts. This is an exercise in control rather speed as riders gain confidence.
Once the instructor decides you are ready to progress you will tackle the more extreme challenges. This is where control is essential as the gradients become more demanding. Confidence and trust in your instructor are required now. How will it feel as you're perched at the top of a hill that's so steep you can't see the slope in front of you? Our instructors remain with riders at all times to ensure both safety and enjoyment.
